Debating A ‘Liberal Republican’ Who SWEARS He's Not A Democrat

MR caller wants to fight for the soul of the Republican instead of switching parties despite agreeing with liberal policies and legislation such as the Affordable Care Act, disliking Democrat Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin, and despising the Trump faction of the Republican Party. Caller talks about how GOP used to be the party for the Equal Rights Amendment. The Majority Report crew discuss how they believe the caller, self-proclaimed "Liberal Repibulican," should switch parties instead of finding ways to work around the Trump-Republicans and Right-wingers who want to blur the lines between church and state.

Yeah and so the thing about it is you can't will the republican party to be the moderate party that you know see a few historical figures as personifying , including in this example of the equal rights amendment, which the the true rRght actually ended up winning out on. Which is why i think you probably should switch parties because trying to find you know these diamonds in the rough in the Republican party it's not going to happen. And I am curious though when you talk about states rights versus federal government and you're using Rockefeller as an example. What policy issues do you support? Like i'm not talking about you know okay states rights do you support lower taxes?
