WestJet workers at Calgary and Vancouver's airports have voted in favour of a strike if they cannot reach a deal with the airline. Workers are potentially set to walk off the job as soon as July 27.
Unifor says the local union representing more than 700 baggage and customer service agents voted 98 per cent in favour of the strike vote.
Wages are the key issue in talks over the group's first collective agreement with the carrier and as Kyle Benning explains, it could mean another spot of turbulence for travellers already dealing with travel frustrations this summer.
