Severe storm hits parts of Ontario bringing rain, high winds

High winds and heavy rain blanketed parts of Ontario on Wednesday as a storm system moved through, accompanied by tornado watches and severe thunderstorm warnings.

A tornado was reported on the ground near Thedford in the early evening, though it's not yet known how much damage was caused.

By approximately 8:30 p.m. ET, the storm began to make its way into the Greater Toronto Area bringing blustery winds and rain.
