Funeral for Ivana Trump sees former US president, children attend in New York

The funeral for former TV personality and businesswoman Ivana Trump was held on Wednesday in New York, with her children Ivanka, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., as well as the former U.S. president and First Lady Melania, all in attendance.

The Trump children were on hand when her gold-plated casket was taken from the hearse and into the chapel where the funeral was being held. Trump had died at the age of 73 and, according to the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, her death was the result of blunt force trauma to her torso. A police spokesperson said she was found dead on the stairs inside her apartment and foul play was not suspected.

Former U.S. president Donald Trump was seen alongside former First Lady Melania outside the chapel after the funeral as the casket was loaded back into a hearse. Ivana was married to the former president from 1977 to 1992.
