Let’s get one thing straight before things go badly off the rails.

When we talk about taste, we are talking about flavour of the smoke.

We are most definitely not encouraging you to eat the cannabis in its unadulterated form.
Should you choose to put it in some brownies, that’s fine, but the flavours we are talking about here will likely be masked by the flavour of the brownie, especially if you’re a lousy cook and burn them!

So, what gives cannabis its flavour?

As with our video on the aroma, the flavour is dictated by terpines, so the more concentrated the terpines, the stronger the flavour.

Now, let’s get down to business with our top five most flavoursome strains of cannabis.
In at number five is Sugar Black Rose.

Renowned for its sweet taste of fruit and fresh-cut flowers, this contradicts its more pungent aroma of an exotic earthy musk.

At number four we have Blue Dream. As this is a cross strain of the Blue Berry and Haze strains, unsurprisingly, there is a noticeable blueberry flavour to this cannabis strain.

In at number three we have Super Lemon Haze which, surprise surprise, has a refreshing zesty lemon zing to it.

At number two, we’ve got Strawberry Cough, which in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, is a rather unfortunate name. Perhaps it should be renamed Strawberry cough so wear a mask!

And the one we’ve all been waiting for, well the one some of you have been waiting for at least, is Grapefruit Tangie.

It is one of the tastiest of the ‘citrus’ varieties of cannabis and leaves a very pleasant taste in the mouth.

The fact that this is also a strain of cannabis with a very high THC count and very low CBD level has nothing to do with our decision.
