British officials teach people to make masks out of old T-shirts

On Monday, the British government affirmed for the first time the role of wearing masks in containing the new crown epidemic, recommending that medical masks be reserved for medical staff and encouraging people to make cotton masks at home.
The government's official website released a guide on "How to Wear and Make Your Own Mask" on the same day, with text and pictures instructing people how to make masks with old T-shirts and a pair of scissors.
