Black Police Officer Describes How Not To Get Shot by the Police - Part 2

After the response to my first video on how to not get shot by the Police, I was inundated with messages and requests to do a video related to recent incidents involving the police and subjects resisting arrest.

During my 13 year career as a full time Police Officer (I now run my company 221B Tactical full time) I arrested countless subjects. I could probably count on two hands the number of people who resisted arrest. However, in today's world, it seems that resisting arrest is the new, cool thing to do.

In my time as an officer, black males almost always cooperated with me when placing them under arrest. Were they pissed that they were getting arrested (got caught)? Yes. Absolutely. But they, thankfully, for the most part, didn't resist and force me to elevate force.

I was always mindful of my tone with them, was always respectful and always reassured them that the arrest was gonna go smoothly so long as they acted like an adult. Communication is key.
