Step 1 is the most important step there is. Honestly taking the time to do a simple Google search is step 1.
There are many steps involved when it comes to researching any topic, but first we must actually do the searching before we get to the answers.
Without researching the topic in question, we are left to "Blind Faith" in whatever the teacher says. Doesn't matter if it's a flat Earther teacher or Evolution teacher or whatever, without doing just this tiny bit of work will lead you into the arms of the teacher and whatever he says.

There are some Religions out there that actually preach Church over Bible,
Church over Quran,
Church of Atheism over man's opinion of facts,
Catholic church over Bible,

Like really? When there are sources to be considered, why does man goto another man for facts when we have sources that say otherwise?
Anyways, plz consider step 1 on the list of steps we must use to research. You might not like Google, but then plz tell me what is your first step in researching for yourself whatever topic is in question.
