Amazon Worker Dies At Fulfilment Centre During Prime Day

An Amazon worker tragically died at one of the company's fulfilment centres during its huge Prime Day sales last week.

HuffPost labour reporter Dave Jamieson took to Twitter to say that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration confirmed the news to him.

The OSHA spokesperson said the death occurred at the Amazon fulfilment facility in Carteret, New Jersey, adding that it is investigating the incident.

Jamieson wrote: "OSHA confirmed for me that an Amazon worker died at the company's EWR9 fulfillment center in Carteret NJ last week during the Prime Day bonanza. OSHA is investigating."
