The Facts and History of Ivermectin
Ivermectin is derived from a microorganism originally found in the soil of Japan.
It was discovered and isolated by microbiologist, Satoshi Omura, in 1973.
Ivermectin was approved for humans in 1987 and since then, over 4 BILLION doses have been distributed globally.
In 2015, Satoshi Omura and William Campbell received a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, for Ivermectin.
The World Health Organization (WHO) includes Ivermectin on its list of essential medicines.
Ivermectin has been used to treat a variety of diseases in both humans and animals.
Ivermectin has been called a "wonder drug" for its positive global impact, safety profile, efficiacy, and versatility.
Its uses and applications continue to be discovered.
