Today, in class, we are seeing the first part of an extended excerpt of the film, "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962). Even though it is set during World War I (AD 1914 - 1918), this film does a good job of showing a Westerner's introduction to Bedouin Arab culture and their practice of Islam.
While the below clips are not the whole excerpt we are seeing today and part of tomorrow, they will give you an idea of what we are covering. If you have access to it, see the whole film (at least up through the attack on Aqaba).
