Hold That Line is a Pen and Paper strategy game for 2 players created by Sid Sackson as an antidote to Tic Tac Toe (naughts and crosses). The video explains the rules by means of an illustrative game. The game is played on a 4x4 grid of dots. The above link is to a pdf A4 sheet containing 12 suitable such game grids.
The video covers the mechanics of the game under the headings: Equipment Needed, Number of Players, Terminology, The Play and Winning.
Terminology includes "Line Segment", "Free Dot" and "The Path".
In essence the two players take turns extending The Path until one player is unable to do so. This player wins (it is therefore a misère game).
