Are LaRue Mounts Worth the Money?

LaRue Tactical makes some very nice, relatively expensive, US (Texas) produced mounts and accessories along with rifles. They are a long time government supplier and aren't known for their modesty. BUT, are they worth the money for the rest of us, or is it just a DoD supplier getting fat off our tax dollars?
