Upgrading the Wyse Thin Client

Today, I'm upgrading one of my Dell Wyse Thin Clients to 120 GB SSD and 8GB Ram from 2GB of each. Total cost is less than the current price of a Raspberry Pi. I plan to use Tom Beckendorf's ISO to install both Mint Linux and OctoPrint at the same time.

Tom, the administrator over at 3D Rescue!, found some Wise Thin Clients on Ebay for $18. He then proceeded to install Linux and OctorPrint on it as a replacement for a Raspberry Pi. He has an ISO file on the Facebook group 3D Rescue! that you can download and install on one of these thin clients.

3D Rescue is the only beginner friendly 3D printing group on Facebook that I have found. The Administrators are top of the heap in this hobby and can answer most questions. Those who've been lurking for a few months can also help with most issues. We have a lot of fun over there and no one ever tells you to just Google it.
