Conway's Game of Life: Part 6 (A Chronology of Spaceship Discoveries - Glider, LWSS, 25P3H1V0, etc)

This video relates the discoveries in the 1970s and 1980s of various spaceships in Conway's Game of Life cellular automata simulation. The Speed of Light concept is discussed in detail. Details are then given for the Glider, the Lightweight Spaceship, 25P3H1V0.1 and 119P4H1V0. These were discovered respectively by Richard Guy, John Conway and Dean Hickerson. Various other items of interest in the video are: a demonstration of a signal travelling along a Zebra Pattern Wire, a glider synthesis of a LWSS by Dave Buckingham and finally a spectacular sequence showing a 25P3H1V0.1 gun operating which was discovered in 2020 by Entity Valkyrie.
