Sprouts - a Paper & Pencil strategy game for 2 players invented by John Conway and Mike Paterson
Sprouts is a Pen and Paper strategy game for 2 players. The video explains the rules by means of an illustrative game. The game is played on paper on which an agreed number of dots are drawn.
The video covers the mechanics of the game under the headings: Equipment Required, Number of Players, The Set-up, Definition, The Play and Winning.
Terminology includes "Live Dot", "Line" and "Dead Dot".
Players take turns drawing a line between two live dots and adding a new dot somewhere on that new line. There are various constraints on newly drawn lines. The player last to move is the winner unless you are playing the misère game
