Jack Del Rio Fined $100k For Sharing His Opinion on Jan. 6 "Dust-up"

Washington Commanders (formerly The Washington Football Team, formerly The Washington Redskins) defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio was fined $100k by head coach Ron Rivera for sharing his opinion about the event that took place at the Capital on Jan. 6th.

Del Rio referred to the Jan. 6 event as a "dust-up" but was later made to backtrack on using that term.

Head Ron Rivera stated that the fine was not about stopping free speech but the "distraction" it caused to the NFL team.
