San Diego, California – On July 7, 2022 around 7:30pm, officers responded to a rape call at the Meadowbrook Apartments. Officers made contact with a 44-year-old man, identified as Maurice Littlejohn who threatened the officers with a cane and then a knife. Littlejohn reportedly pulled some sort of object from his waistband which officers believed to be a gun, at which time an officer fired his duty weapon (Glock).

Littlejohn continued to run, but officers arrested him at the intersection of South Meadowbrook Drive and Brookhaven Road. He was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and then booked into jail on suspicion of assault and resisting arrest.

No police officers were injured during the incident.
