DAYS 19 & 20 / 2022 Wheat Harvest / July 4 & 5 (Oshkosh, Nebraska)

Most of the day on 7/4 was spent unloading, putting pieces back together again and making the journey from the Chappell Fairgrounds to the field, multiple times.

At the end of the day, we made the decision not to road the combine to the field north of Oshkosh only to be rained on.

I watched the Lewellen fireworks from the trailer house later that night.

July 5 began pretty early. We headed directly back to Chappell to get the combine headed north. I ran back to the trailer house and made lunches. Headed to the field to pick up Jim and back to camp to get the last minute stuff done and the service truck picked up.

Then we cut wheat - til it rained.
