Dancing to Be Felt, Not Seen: The Health Benefits of Dance
As many of you know, I dance the Argentine tango. Dancing of any kind is therapy for your body and your mind. And, with shows like Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, the art of dancing has moved front and center in our culture in a positive way. Dancing can improve balance and stamina, even in frail elderly people. Plus, it’s a fun way to express yourself, while maintaining your weight and socializing with friends at the same time. When I danced with Sidney Grant, the 2011 North American Argentine Tango Champion, and Artistic Director for Ballroom Basix, we had never danced before that moment! You see, Tango is improv, just like life, you co-create as you go. Press play to watch my latest video and learn why dancing, or doing anything you love, can make you more vibrant and healthy.
