First Bass of the Year - New PB !!!

So, some folks who saw it say 7lbs, which sounds about right. The gopro footage is tough to judge from but she was huge. The 6" stick bait could fit sideways in her mouth. Given the season I wanted to get her back in fast so no goofing off to get a measurement, but about 24" and chubby so...

I'd seen her already, and failed to catch her on a dozen other baits. I might put together a little compilation of me trying to catch her or the male. I changed baits and trailers a bunch of times and they totally ignored everything.

I caught her on a 6" Green Pumpkin (checked when I got home) Lunker Log on a mid weight 4/0 hook with a tiny little 1/8 oz tungsten worm weight.

The rod was a Bass Pro Carbonlite 2.0 Medium fast with a Curado K spooled with 10lb Seaguar Red Label. I am VERY lucky I didn't break her off. She took drag right from the start and I was just trying to keep tension and reel when she came toward me.
