The Texas Rig that caught my PB Largemouth Bass

I've only really been bass fishing a few years, I focused on other species growing up and rarely fished for about a decade before getting back to it. I think it's awesome that my first BIG bass, and by far my PB, was caught in my new home town in Texas, on a Texas Rig, with a Texas based company's worm and hook. There's just something fitting about that. Sorry to all the Googan Squad haters. I wouldn't call myself a GS fanboi, but I have to admire their success and as a percentage of my tackle they're probably the largest chunk. Z Man being the second and Strike King the third.

Obviously you can rig the same thing with any stick bait you prefer, I had some lighter Senkos in my bag along with other options and I tried a bunch over the course of the day along with bug type baits.

I fish a light T-Rig a lot, just varying the plastic and hook depending on what I'm seeing for fish. I rarely go heavier than a 3/16 oz weight and a mid weight 4/0 hook.

I've got an unboxing coming (after the box stops traveling) of some more 1/2oz weights and EWG hooks. I had one size in my kit other than some super light wire ones and after seeing the size of the bass I decided I needed some more "heavy duty" options.
