35 Remington - Ahead of its time

Once in a while a cartridge comes along a bit ahead of its time. 35 Remington was introduced with a semi auto rifle in an era when 30-30 was a new and exciting round and smokeless powder was new fangled for the civilian market.
Fast forward over 100 years and we're basically recreating that round with cartridges like 350 Legend, 8.6 Blackout and other large bore mid power options designed to function reliably in semi autos and intended for hunting in relatively tight terrain. Each brings a particular twist to the original concept.
