The 2011 Ford Mustang that I surprised my wife with last year has been trouble-free until about 2 weeks ago, it started bogging and stalling. Head Scratcher. There was a “Check Engine” light, so I checked the codes and it came up with P2110. After a little “Googling” I found out it could be potentially two things, a bad throttle body, or maybe even just out of calibration.

The steps to recalibrate the throttle body are simple, turn the key to accessory, slow push the gas pedal in, counting to 10, and then slowly release it to the count of 10. We did this and the check engine light when out. Problem solved!

So, we thought. A couple more times over the succeeding weeks it happened again, we ran the calibration routine, and it would run for a few more days. But the problem kept coming back. So, its time to change the throttle body. A quick trip to eBay.com, $42.00 and a few days later, I had a brand new throttle body.

A couple of tools, and twenty minutes is all it took to change the throttle body, solve the P2110 code once and for all, and the car runs great again! Time to take advantage of these cheap gas prices, too bad we aren’t allowed to go anywhere. Check it out!!
