The Highwaymen - Sunday Morning Coming Down - Drum Cover

The Highwaymen were an American country music supergroup formed of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson, four of the genre's biggest performers and the fathers of the outlaw country subgenre. The trio made three albums for major labels under the name The Highwaymen between 1985 and 1995: two for Columbia Records and one for Liberty Records. Three chart-topping songs, including "Highwayman," the top single in 1985, were produced by their Columbia efforts.

The Louis L'Amour Collection, a four-CD box set of seven Louis L'Amour stories released by the HighBridge Company, was voiced and dramatized by Nelson, Kristofferson, Cash, and Jennings between 1996 and 1999; however, the four weren't given credit as "The Highwaymen" in this work.

Along with the four official members, one more vocalist also contributed to a Highwaymen recording: Johnny Rodriguez sang in Spanish on the Woody Guthrie song "Deportee" from the album Highwayman.

The 1986 picture Stagecoach was the only movie in which all four of them appeared.
