The Apostle Paul

Saul of Tarsus persecuted the Christian Church shortly after Jesus's death, seeking to destroy it. Then he had an experience he was convinced was the risen Jesus appearing to him. He changed from persecuting the Church to being persecuted. Paul's letters comprise approximately one third of the entire New Testament.
