Drought no more! 7-18-22

Was it really just two weeks ago that the grass was brown and the field corn was short and curled up? Since then, we've had 5.5 inches of rain, 2.5 inches just over the weekend. No more watering, I'd say!

I went out this morning to spray calcium on the tomatoes and peppers. Because of the straw, I didn't actually get muddy. I did get bitten by mosquitos, though! Didn't expect that.

Stan says we will have some sweet corn for lunch today! I think I can find a ripe tomato to go along with that.

I need to pick green beans and more cucumbers, but I'll wait until the mosquitoes have evacuated...
