Slammin Redfish and Snook to the Oldies on Saint Pete Beach Dock Lights

Predator fish like snook, redfish, and speckled trout love to feed around pier and dock lights at night. Lots of small baitfish and shrimp are attracted to the light, which provides a perfect ambush opportunity for hungry gamefish. This has to be one of my all time favorite ways to catch fish as they are often schooled up one one or two lights in a small area. If you love to throw artificial lures, this type of fishing is pure gold. You will see in this video how both snook and redfish are eager to strike lures that are well presented through the lights.

In this video filmed in Late March 2020, lots of people are staying indoors trying not to spread the COVID 19 Corona Virus. I quarantined myself to my bay boat and headed out in search of a good dock light. It turns out that Snook and Redfish like Christmas lights and Oldies Music. There was dozens of fish circling this one particular set of lights, with classic and Oldies music coming from inside the owner's house. It seemed that whenever a hit oldies song played, the fish would come out to feed! It was hilarious! 5:07 is a moment where a class song triggers the bite!
