Ukrainian lawmakers proposed a draft legislation on the 11th to require parliament to recognize a Chechnya independent of the Russian Federation. According to reports, Ukrainian lawmakers Alexei Gangcharenko and Musa Magomedov proposed the draft resolution, and the relevant draft has not yet been published in Ukraine. Announced on the parliament’s website, the report also mentioned that the Ukrainian lawmaker’s motion may be a response to Russia’s announcement in February to recognize the independence of Ukrainian and Eastern Ukraine. Gangcharenko also posted on social media: Russia has committed violence against Chechnya. Murder and genocide. He also said that Kadyrov, the leader of the Russian Chechen Republic, is a staunch ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
