MAXILLARIA VARIABILIS - Up Close & PERSONAL - EASY! How to grow, water and general care.

#Maxillariavariabilis grows like a weed in the #Orchid world. In this video, I talk about this orchid with some easy grow tips and fertilizer / water recommendations. It is native to Central America form Mexico to Panama. In the wild it grows on trees or rocks. My specimen lives outside all year 'round and tolerates a temperature range from 5ºC-30ºC including hotter. It does require copious amounts of water and fertilizer as it is a fast grower and the pseudobulbs need to get some size on for the next blooming season. In the Northern hemisphere it blooms from February to mid May.
