A reading from a book entitled "Christian Ethics" regarding the hatred of the Lord Jesus Christ by all those possessed of a worldly mind who are reprobate unto every good work and practicing a dead faith.
God's ways are our ways. The natural man in his flesh is at enmity with God. It requires God's work of faith (John 6:29) imparted by His gracious will on behalf of His creature that makes it possible for the love of Christ to permeate a man's being.
Are you reconciled to Christ Jesus, or at enmity with Him? "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" 2 Corinthians 3:5
"Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near..." Isaiah 55:6
"For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
