Banks Get 120-day Deferral on Appraisals I Seattle Real Estate Podcast

Banks are now allowed in some circumstances to have a 120-day deferral on appraisals.

Unfortunately, this deferral only applies to a very limited number of loans. Basically, loans that are already on banks books that are very minimal risk.

Lenders mandated by fannie/freddie, HUD, FHA or VA all still require an appraisal.
