THRIFT STORE FIND: Mystery Test Equipment Worth HUNDREDS...I Paid $5!

This short video is to demonstrate an esoteric, specialized piece of test equipment I recently found at a Goodwill store for $5. It is a Mikrotest Made by Electrophyysik-Koln in Germany. This piece of test gear uses magnetism to test the thickness of any coating over ferrous metals. Used in quality control in factories or anywhere the thickness of coatings over metal objects needs to be checked. In this video, we'll look at how to use this weird little mechanism. I believe this example was probably made in the 1960s or 1970s, judging by the case and the styling, and was distributed in the USA by Nordson Corp., Amhurst, Ohio.
