Bill Gates will donate $20 billion this month.

On July 13, local time, Bill Gates announced through his personal blog that he would donate $20 billion to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation this month. At the same time, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation also announced plans to increase annual grant spending to $9 billion a year by 2026, a 50% increase from pre-pandemic levels.

"I'm going to fall off the list of the world's richest people and eventually quit. It's not a sacrifice at all for me to give this money. I'm honored to be a part of these enormous challenges, I love the job, and I believe it's my duty to do Giving back my resources back to society in a way that improves lives and has the greatest impact." In the future plan section, Bill Gates said his plan is to donate all of his wealth to the foundation.
