Racing with Jesse Rucinski Short - Ty Dillon and Petty GMS Parting Ways

Did anyone else hear what Ty Dillon said on Friday before Xfinity Series qualifying? I know I am slightly confused by his response to the news of his departure from Petty GMS before their first year together is even done. He stated that he still knows he will win both races and championships in the Cup Series. I think he must've forgotten how bad it went for those 5 years with Germain Racing before they closed because Geico wouldn't return as sponsor because he ran terribly, and they sold their charter to Denny Hanlin and 23X1 racing for Bubba Wallaces car. His run for RCR in the Xfinity Series didn't really blow anyone away either. Instead of worrying about proving himself again, he should've kept trying to do that every race of his Cup career. Maybe he wouldn't be in this situation with that attitude.
