Sunday Longplay - Doom: No End In Sight (Switch Add-On) - Episode 1: 1994 Ways To Die (UV-Max)

This week on Sunday Longplay, with Doom 64 going on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and Doom 2's Master Levels going on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I thought I'd play another add-on wad for Doom 1 as long as I had Doom on the brain. This is No End In Sight, a full 4-episode community-made Doom 1 wad made by three of the developers of the other famous wad Doom The Way Id Did, played on the Nintendo Switch console port of Doom 1.

Just like with the previous episodes, I will be going for 100% kills and secrets on Ultra-Violence difficulty. And since this is a full four-episode add-on rather than just a single episode like Sigil or Double Impact before it, I will tackle this add-on one episode at a time. In the first episode, entitled 1994 Ways To Die, there weren't too many trouble spots secret-wise, though maps 3, 4, and 7 in particular had quite a few of them.

Episode 1 was fairly easy, though definitely harder than episode 1 of the original Doom. Consider this just a scratch on the surface of what's to come in episodes 2-4, because the penultimate stage in episode 2 is when this wad really starts to get crazy, and episode 4 will make Thy Flesh Consumed look like a cakewalk! The secret exit in episode 1 can be found in E1M3: Logistics Center.
