Has the Retro Gaming scene Died on Youtube?

I claim neither the ability to be insightful, nor the ability to articulate my points well, but were retro gaming channels a bubble on YouTube, has the bubble popped, and are we all just kinda bored now? Has the algorithm changes made for higher quantity of content, but lower quality as creators try and stay relevant, while sacrificing quality?
