Donkey Kong Country (Snes) Gameplay Sample

Far from a perfect run here, but nonetheless, I have grown to love DKC over the last couple of decades. I have owned it, personally, for about 20 years now. I did play it here and there during the 16-bit era, but I never played all the way through it till the 2 era when I bought it from a friend.

This game was a huge deal when it hit, and not just for the, for the time, amazing pre-rendered graphics. It also has some well designed levels, and addictive play mechanics. I do understand why some people say this game is overrated, but I am not one of those people. Whether you prefer Mario or Sonic, or another 16-bit platformer over DKC, this game is still one of the best platformers of the 16-bit era.
