Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES) Gameplay Sample

The Dam level starts at 9:41 if you want to see me beat it. I have owned this game since I was a kid, but the furthest I have ever been able to get is the air field level before I gave up.

I know that post AVGN review, it is trendy to say this is a bad game, but nah, I love this game, even if it is the epitome of the phrase "Nintendo Hard." The music is fantastic, and, yeah, the design is kinda weird, but this was the first TMNT game, so we didn't know that these teenage Turtles with attitude would make for amazing beat em' ups quite yet.

The controls are solid, and responsive, and each turtle has their own unique feel. And by each turtle, I mean Leo and Don, because Ralf and Mikey are useless until the seaweed section.

Protip: To make it past the dam, and especially the seaweed section, come into that level with at least one Turtle with full health, two for the best results.
