Quake 4 (PC) Gameplay Sample

I'm actually running this footage off the disk, and not off the Steam version. I had to download a few updates, and patches along with a tweaker mod to change the game to 16:9, but as you can see by the oval on the crosshairs, the tweaker is far from perfect when it comes to the aspect ratio. However, it does allow you to play this game at 1080p.

I love Quake 4. It's not the best F game ever, but it is one of those F games in that strange gap of time post Half-Life, and before Modern Warfare. I'm not sure what this era of PC F games is called, but it's the one that gave birth to games like Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Quake 4, Prey, F.E.A.R., and even Crisis before Modern Warfare came and changed/ruined the landscape of F games.

I actually have an entire playthrough of this game on my external hard drive, but this footage is freshly captured two days ago or so.
