Area 51 (PS2) Full Playthrough

I decided to record a full playthrough for Area 51 on the 2 today, and share it with you all. I love this game. It's one of my favorite F games on the 2, and one of my favorite of it's entire generation.

During the 6th generation, Midway remade, and revamped a lot of their classic arcade IPs, and Area 51 takes the classic Light Gun game, and thrusts it into the post-Halo era of gaming. The game has a combination of Halo, Half-Life, Deus Ex, and even a little Metriod Prime thrown in for good measure. The storyline has a little Des EX meets X-files meets Half-life, and goes into conspiracy theories surrounding Roswell. Overall this is a well made F game with a good storyline. One of my favorites of this generation, and just an underrated game all around.

As you can see though, the single player mode is kind of short when compared to other F games released in that generation, but it's online play, when it was still online, was fast, furious, and super fun. I know that some people have modded disks, and run a modded 2 to play 2 games online again, but I'm not sure if Area 51 is one of those games as of yet.

Blacksite was Kind of Meh, but this game is still awesome. Midway was turning out some amazing stuff in the 6th gen.

This game was also released on the Xbox, and PC, but the Gamecube release was cancelled.
