Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel (PS2) Gameplay

To be honest, I have still yet to own or play the original two Fallout games on the PC, but I know this Fallout game was extremely not liked by Fallout fans of it's day. I'm guessing it was "consoled up," and didn't have the depth of the original two. However, in a post "Fallout is a F RPG" world, maybe Brotherhood of Steel should get a fairer shake from fans. Maybe not. Again, I haven't played the original two games, nor have I played very far into this one as it is.

Brotherhood of Steel is the Snowblind Engine version of Fallout, sort of how Dark Alliance was the snowblind engine version of Baldurs Gate. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Snowblind engine games sort of fall into their own sub-genre on the 2/GC/Xbox, so regardless of how this game stacks up to it's namesake, if you like other Snowblind Engine titles (Dark Alliance1/2, Norath, The Bard's Tale, etc), you should like this game as well. Take it as an offshoot instead of a part of the main series, and you should enjoy yourself nonetheless.
