Katamari Damacy REROLL (Quick Game Review)
Katamari Damacy was one of those zany off-the wall concepts that came out of nowhere to wow 2 gamers in 2004 with it's unique presentation, and addictive growth gameplay where rolling your Katamai over objects makes them stick to it, building a bigger Katamari that can roll up even larger objects, eventually rolling up entire cities, and in later games, the cosmos itself. I missed picking up the 2 games in the series, but won a free copy of Beautiful Katamari off a website. My recent pickup of the Steam version of Reroll has prompted me to go back and order both 2 Katamari games. Short game, but it's simple concept, unique art style, addictive gameplay, and lightheartedness lead to a game that always leaves you with a smile on your face. Reroll is availble on all platforms, the Steam version requires an Xbox controller to play. If you have never played a Katamari game, Reroll is a great place to start, especially if you don't own vintage consoles. A classic Niche-gaming masterpiece.
