Burrata cheese, also known as Burrata cheese, is a traditional Italian cheese, originating from the Apulia region of southern Italy.
It is only about 100 years old, and was first invented in 1900 on a farm in the city of Andrea.
Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese made from a mixture of fresh mozzarella and cream. It looks chubby, like a puffy little bag,
with solid mozzarella on the outside and soya curds and whipped cream on the inside, all wrapped up and tied together.
Burrata cheese is typically served whole and fresh, cut by diners themselves to feel the soft filling slowly spilling over.
Fresh and mellow burrata cheese is simply seasoned with sea salt, pepper and chives and eaten raw.
