The Javan ripensnake is one of southeast Asia's most enigmatic venomous snakes. Human knowledge of its various habits is limited. The long glandular coral snake has the largest poison gland among snakes, which extends into the skin and reaches 1/3 of the body length. The poison gland is highly toxic. Although the amount of detoxification is not clear, it is estimated that it is not very small based on the size of its poison gland. Fatal bites are rare because they are gentle, hidden and far from human areas.
