Novartis and HBCUs collaborate on 'Beacon of Hope' to reduce health disparities

Dr. Patrice Matchaba, President of the U.S. Novartis Foundation, is in collaboration with esteemed HBCU medical schools on the campaign "Beacon of Hope," a 10-year, multimillion-dollar initiative designed to address pervasive health disparities in the United States. One of the key goals of the alliance will seek to increase diversity in clinical trial participants and investigators. Also, the Morehouse School of Medicine initiated the first clinical trials at the Center of Excellence.
