Listening back to this for the first time in years what struck me is how much guitarist Duncan is adding to the sound, because i was singing! i was playing guitar in a more direct crunching tone, whereas duncan was definitely pulling the sound back towards indie with his guitar sound and technique ensuring that we didnt get too early 1970s rock. The balance of all four of us and probably discussing where we wanted to be was 1968-1970 and we sounded like that period, although we still had that 1990s sound and feel as well, all very authentic a real individual sounding band, a great band. But its a real shame that we have no video footage of the shapes, i know we were video'd live at the broken doll music bar, but whether that exists anywhere i dont know. Its such a shame that this performance was'nt in front of a video camera!.. but back then they were a rare and expensive thing to own. But the performance and the music is here so thats the important thing.
