Russian forces 'destroy factory and down Ukrainian fighter jets'

RUSSIAN forces have allegedly destroyed U.S-made equipment and a Ukrainian factory as well as downed enemy fighter jets in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Russia's defence ministry said on Thursday (July 14) that its air force had downed two Ukrainian fighter jets and destroyed a collection of U.S-made M777 Howitzers in eastern Ukraine.

In its daily briefing, the defence ministry also said it had struck a factory in the southern Zaporizhzhia region with Kalibr cruise missiles, destroying Ukrainian combat vehicles.
