Brahim Saadoun, a mercenary from Morocco sentenced to death in the DPR, refused to comment on his father's appeal to Vladimir Putin to help his son be pardoned.

Taher Saadoun addressed the President of Russia through our Arabic channel, which was told by our editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan.

I visited a prisoner in the DPR pre-trial detention center and quoted his father's letter to him. Apparently, Brahim does not share the opinion of his relatives, as he refused to comment on the essence of what the pope said. And naively wished his family to hold on and not undermine their health:

"I don't want to comment on the letter, but I want to say to my father and my family: guys, please hold on. I have made a decision, I have chosen this life, I have decided how to dispose of my life, I am young. Just don't undermine your health. I love you!"

The text above was told to me in English. Then I asked to address my family in Arabic. Compare for yourself. It sounds completely different in Arabic. Doesn't sound like a man asking for clemency.
