Original Folk Alternative Rock song I wrote after a producer asked if he could claim partial authorship because of the production he provided to a song that was already completely written! Another, much more famous and successful producer with 86 albums under his belt, and who provided outdoor concert sounds to such artists as Nirvana and Heart back during the Grunge era told me that was outrageous. I already knew that. This song talks about someone trying to steal your sound. I immediately fired him, of course, promptly learned how to record and play all of my own instruments now, with exception to the drums which are derived from free drums on various YouTube sites. When a producer wants to do everything for free and seems a little too obsessed with your music, back away! If you record your own music, you have an automatic time stamp of when the song was actually written.
